- Medicaid Administrative Claiming
The Medicaid Administrative Claim (MAC)
program allows schools and agencies to claim federal
Medicaid reimbursement for activities related
to the administration of the state’s Medicaid
plan including costs associated with identifying
and enrolling populations in need of Medicaid
services, linking individuals and families to
service providers, and coordinating and monitoring
health related services.
The Fairbanks team has designed, implemented and
operated Web-based MAC programs and enhanced revenues
for approximately 1,800 school districts with
over 8 million students in 10 states. Members
of the Fairbanks team designed and implemented
some of the first Medicaid Administrative Claim
programs in the nation. We have since worked with
thousands of schools, as well as Medicaid and
educational agencies from states across the country
in developing, implementing and managing MAC Programs.
Our national experience allows us to consistently
monitor program and policy trends, adapting our
programs as necessary to maintain compliance with
federal and state guidelines. Our data collection
methodology, Web-based solutions, flexible training
and comprehensive support allows our clients to
participate efficiently, saving time while claiming
all allowable reimbursements. Clients who have
used Fairbanks’ solutions have increased
revenues and reduced or avoided additional administrative
costs associated with claiming Medicaid reimbursement.
- Random Moment Time Study
Fairbanks offers clients the option of
using either of the time study and sampling methodologies
approved by CMS for MAC claiming. Whether using
a randomly selected week long, quarterly time
study or a random moment time study, Fairbanks
uses proprietary, Web-based solutions that simplify
and streamline the time study process. The e-RMTS/MAC
solution is a Web-based solution that automates
the entire work flow of the MAC claiming process
under a random moment time study. All processes
required under RMTS claiming for MAC are seamlessly
integrated and paperless significantly reducing
the time and effort required of both time study
participants and staff who coordinate the process
for their agency.
- Direct Services Claiming
Through Direct Services Claiming (also
know as Fee For Service or FFS), organizations
are able to obtain federal Medicaid reimbursement
for health related services provided to students
enrolled in special education who are also enrolled
in the Medicaid program.
The Fairbanks approach combines expert knowledge
of Medicaid reimbursement claiming along with
programmatic and policy expertise. By working
closely with our school based health services
customers and our technology partners, the Fairbanks
team designs, implements and manages the process
for claiming Medicaid reimbursement for Direct
Services. Our customers are able to consistently
achieve a high success rate of Medicaid reimbursement
with minimal effort.
The Fairbanks team brings significant experience
in Direct Services Reimbursement. We can assist
in evaluating the best approach to implement,
manage and improve a school district’s Direct
Services Reimbursement process. Additionally,
we offer solutions to manage an organization’s
revenue cycle for them to claim Medicaid reimbursement
efficiently and effectively.
